Just when I'm settling back in and uploaded all the photos to my main computer, the processor fan on it goes. As my tech guy says, to run it is like driving a car without any radiator fluid - not smart. So no main computer. Our network was de-linked and we can re-link it, but may lose everything on one driver and I'm not willing to risk that. So we wait for the processor fan, and because of the newish type of computer, it will take up to a week to get it. But the techy is pulling strings and hoping to get it by Saturday or Monday.
In the meantime we're on the other computers and able to access quite a number of things, so we'll do what we can in the meantime until we get back up on our full systems and get our network back up, not to mention our server relinked up. So many servers, so many computers, so many computer issues, lol!! I guess we have to take it as it comes, thank goodness the fan didn't fry the whole system which apparently could've happened.
In the meantime, I'm retrieving emails off the webserver and answering them, so it might take me an extra day or so to get back to you. I'm very hopeful to be back in full mode on Monday, just want to let you know we are here and still working at it sans a few programs, files and computers, but still working and getting orders out.
I'm going to wait til the main computer comes back up to post photos though - I don't relish redownloading thousands of photos from South Africa! I'll post a full report on the SA trip and I'll also make sure to post about the awesome, awesome event in Parksville where I taught for Scrapbookin' Adventures - definitely one of my favorite local events of the year.
On another travel related note, Rob and I are leaving for Paris early next week to teach to the Paper & Co show - so excited, it's our first time and I'm looking forward to teaching and bringing the FontWerks brand to France - totally blessed to be able to do this and travel with my husband!
Anyway, looks like I have a lot to share in the next few days so keep tuned!
